The Brenner motorway A13 starts at Innsbruck and leads to the italian border at the Brenner Pass. The section toll required to use the Brenner motorway costs € 11 oneway.

You do not need an Austrian vignette for the Brenner motorway itself. However, please note that you do need a vignette if you drive onto the Brenner via the A12 Inntal motorway.

How does the digital section toll for the Brenner motorway work?

When ordering the Brenner motorway section toll via the ADAC toll portal, the vehicle license plate number is requested and saved.

When passing through the Schönberg toll station, the electronic license plate number recognition system then takes effect and allows you to pass without stopping. A lane specially designated for the section toll and marked in green enables fast, congestion-free passage.

Note: With a valid section toll, you are also permitted to drive in the Go lane (normally reserved for vehicles > 3.5t) on the Brenner motorway.
